Scotsman orders a ‘Glenmorangie’

Whisky

Proud Scot and esteemed actor Brian Cox, helps provide an insight into how to pronounce a variety of whisky names, with these handy video snippets. Although many whiskies are relatively easy to pronounce, some of the harder ones include: Auchentoshan, Bruichladdich, Caol Ila, Glenmorangie, Lagavulin and Laphroaig.

A good way to remember how to pronounce – ‘Glenmorangie’ is to remember: ‘orange’, ‘orangie’ and ‘morangie’.   If you have the chance to visit a distillery – this will always be the best way to find out and taste more!

TIP – if in real doubt, ask for ‘Malt of the Month’ – a lucky dip that might get you out of jail.
