British filmmaker guy Ritchie has directed the advert for a new whisky set in Scotland’s highlands. The advert for David Beckham’s ‘Haig Club’ Whisky was filmed around Inverness and Skye, and is about a group of friends on various journeys coming together to an estate in Glen Affric.
Filmed over four days and directed by ‘Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’ Director Guy Ritchie, the advert stars Beckham, along with Ritchie himself who makes a cameo appearance as a fisherman.
Discussing his time in Scotland filming, David Beckham describes Inverness as “one of the most beautiful places I have ever been” and as being “ridiculously beautiful”.
Said Ritchie: “This project had so many elements that I find appealing; it’s a film about good mates having an adventure and coming together for a celebration. “It’s set in the Highlands of Scotland, one of the most beautiful places I’ve visited. David is a good friend and we had a lot of fun making this together.”
